Thanks man...that chrome ring around the shifter is brutal! I painted it the same color as the other but for sure something had to be done. Blinding on a sunny day.

We shall see about the water/rain. It finally rained here for a bit this evening so I went for a drive and it was dry as a bone under there when I got back.

Truck looks awesome, with the hood scoops being functional, I figure if you open the exit hole into the engine compartment were it won't effect the electronic's then you sould be fine. I mean the challengers have functional scoops and you dont hear about them having water issues.... it's all about location, location, location... lol...

Lol ya but seems the rams have electronics right under the scoops also thing about the challengers think about it the water will go in the scoop and siome will drain into compartment and the rest will stay in the hood that equals rust i looked at one while my truck was in shop its a very poor design

What did you cut the bottom "grille" with? Did you just drill out the holes on intake?

shouldnt have too many rust problems, cuz the hoods are aluminum. try sticking a magnet to the hood and it wont stick :P

looks good by the way, some nice simple mods here!

Hey Guys for the painted interior (which looks amazing BTW), how did you remove the little grey pecies around the steering wheel controls in order to pain them? I cant get them to budge (with gentle pulling) and sure dont want to break them! How did you mangage this?

I don't know about the electronics in the ram/chally, but I'd be willing to bet a million dollars (if I had it, ) that you'll never have any rust issues or water damage due to water staying in the hood scoop. The reason I say this is because I bought the chally hood scoops ($30 a piece I think) to better understand how they work. It's a two piece scoop, the outer scoop (like ours but smaller) and then a rubber channel that has a 90 degree bend that pops out under the hood. The rubber piece fits tightly around the hard plastic scoop, so I wouldn't worry about water getting through there. If anyone would like a photo of the chally scoop (both pieces) let me know. I'm in the process of trying to tie these two pieces to our scoop to make mine fuctional with out worry of water damage...

I used a rotary tool on both of them. Combination of bits and files.

Be careful of course but I don't think you will break them. They are snap into the rubber which seems to have a little bit better grip than the typicall plastic fasteners on the other pieces. Start from the outside and it should pop out and then you have to remove the actual buttons.
