I do not trust it at all. And I've had the brake pedal go to the floor without slowing down. Thats what I mean. Not just ABS kicking in.

Here is a interesting tid-bit from the 4th Gen service manual.

ELECTRONIC VARIABLE BRAKE PROPORTIONING
EVBP is able to decrease, hold and increase rear brake pressure without activating full ABS control. Upon entry into EVBP the inlet valve for the rear brake circuit is switched on so that the fluid supply from the master cylinder is shut off. In order to decrease the rear brake pressure, the outlet valve for the rear brake circuit is pulsed. This allows fluid to enter the low pressure accumulator (LPA) in the hydraulic control unit (HCU) resulting in a drop in fluid pressure to the rear brakes. In order to increase the rear brake pressure, the outlet valve is switched off and the inlet valve is pulsed. This increases the pressure to the rear brakes.

The EVBP will remain functional during many ABS fault modes. If both the red BRAKE and amber ABS warning indicators are illuminated, the EVBP may not be functioning.
As I read this, I understand this 'feature' of the ABS unit has the ability to remove the brake pressure to any/all wheels. Great for it's intended application, but if something goes wrong......like it responds to bad information.....

Our trucks are like so many other things in our lives. They are a computer that 'looks' like a truck. If that computer gets an attitude, or has a bad/intermittent connection somewhere that corrupts some of the data, it is capable of responding incorrectly to the real conditions. As the PCM is the heart of the entire system; based on your previous symptoms coupled with your new symptoms, I lean heavily in that direction.

I also have to wonder.....we are all familiar to some extend with computer viruses....is it possible here too .....

I wonder why lemons take such a bad rap, when they do such a good job of lemonade? LOL

I wonder what part in this saga the dealer plays. We all depend on our dealers to provide the best possible service to our vehicles, and I know with certainty, there are good and bad dealers. More importantly, there are good and bad techs. Makes me wonder how this would have turned out if your truck was presented to my dealer. They don't have a shop full of ace mechanics, but have a few exceptional ones.

Are you able to have your dealer look at it today. I know some dealers have a working service department on Saturday.....
