Default tire pressure monitor

I checked tire pressure as set by my local Dodge dealership and the displays shows 37 PSI. I realize it's over the 35 psi it should be at so I checked with tire gauge and it shows 35 psi on all tires. Which one should I rely on?
why are they not the same?

What kind of tire gauge are you using? That makes a pretty big difference.

In the wonderful world of tire pressure, 35 and 37 are basically the same.

The TPMS is not touted as being 100% accurate, but I have found mine to be very accurate as compared to a calibrated tire pressure gauge.

Since I own a few tire gauges (a few too many), I have checked them all against my calibrated one, and marked the 'error' on them so when I do use them, and can 'correct' the reading. Some of them are out by as much as 5psi at 40psi .

Strangely enough, the most accurate 'off the shelf' units I have, are those stupid cheap digital talking units from Canadian Tire. I have 5 of them, and they all are within 1/2 psi from my calibrated one....go figure.

I say "Trust the EVIC" in general, and don't worry at 2psi....it won't make a spit of difference......but I'm not a tire expert, so take it for what it's worth.
