Had my 2010 done last Friday. Both outer tie rods ends and alignment - no charge.

They also found both hub bearings were bad (noisy and rough) - replaced both hubs, no charge.

Feels like a new truck again!

Well I guess every dealer is different, which is basically frustrating when you purchase a 40k plus vehicle. I ended up having to swap dealers for this work because my usual dealer was stating that they would only check the tie rod ends, and then replace only if need be even though the recall stated that they were to be replaced. Idiots.

So, I now drive 40 plus miles to another dealer that has their act together. They did the recall and reset the toe.

I just got my outer tie-rods replaced last week, they set the toe, before I had this done my steering wheel sat left a touch and a very slight pull to the right, after the tie-rods and toe, the wheel is perfectly centered and the pull is gone. So I pull out my work order today and it states beside note "needs alignment", lol, un****en believable! lol. I burned up a couple of days off, travelled 150 miles to my dealership to get this done. No mention of the fact when the truck was ready it needed an alignment. Kinda burns my ass a little.

If they told you this before they looked at it they lied or they're stupid. Yes you do need an alignment but not complete though they should check the complete alignment after they do the work for safe keeps. Everyone one should, there's no telling what damage these faulty tie rod ends could have caused. edit: After watching this idiot kid (it was funny) at my dealership do my last oil change (trans), you can believe I'm having mine completely checked. He raised the drain pan all the way up to the tranny before he loosened the bolts so he had trouble trying to get the tools up in there to take them out. Finally...with the pan hanging downward he got the last one out and knocked the it to the ground and spilled the oil all over the place. I can imagine these people taking my whole front end appart to change my tie rod ends...you'll definately need one then, lol!

Mine drives like new again (shocks, mounts and outer tie rod ends)

Took mine in this Tuesday for the bad knock on cold starts, they did the tie rods and a few other things, of course had to order the bolts for the manifold leak, big surprise.

Do any of you guys know if you have a leveling kit installed would that void the recall? When I first got the truck the mechanic mentioned that one of my tie rods where alittle loose. thanks

No it does not void the warranty. They tried that at first in 09 and Chrysler lost and were replaced with the same type faulty parts. Then later had to replace the tie rod ends a second time for the recall with improved parts on the same lifted and lowered trucks.

When my 2/3 lowered 10' 4x4 was waiting in line to book it in for the recall there was matching Black 10' with a 6" lift/35's in front of me.
Both were done under warranty no questions asked. (BTW only alignment done was toe adjustment, caster and camber are not effected)
