Default Break Lights?

Hey All!

I found some break lights that I want to put on my truck but was just wondering of others opinions on the matter. I was orignally gonna black everything out with the paint stuff, but I think this looks better, and actually legal. haha.

Heres a pic of my truck, minus the spolier.

I am going to be removing the tail light guards also, not a huge fan.

Heres a picture of the lights.

Im gonna attempt to find matching 3rd break lights also.

Thoughts??

those brake lights look pretty good. Why not go to a set of LED brake lights? I'm pretty sure the price is comparable and they look a lot better than brake lights using stock incandescent bulbs.

haha sorry, brake**. and im doing some begginer mods so to say. i was looking at recon led lights but starting at 299.99$ is a lot different from the on sale 94$. and it might sound funny but i actually enjoy the look of the regular lights vs led's.

OK...cool. Now here's one thing to consider. You can put LED lights in for the back up lights and tails/brake light with no need for any resistors. If you wanna do amber LED turn signals, you'll need a resistor to eliminate the hyperflash.

Oh, and there are good quality LED tails out there that cost a LOT less than the Recon ones.

Any suggestions on types of brands of LED tails? And I might try out your idea. I found the matching 3rd brake light pretty easily also.

I just remember looking at Recon, writing down the price, then doing a google. Lots of hits. No brand names stuck with me, though. I remember seeing some really nice ones that the whole lens lit up vs having a dark spot in the upper outboard corner.

Sounds good, I'll start my research project. Thanks for your opinion on the matter.
