Default v10 4wd to 2wd??

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum and I have myself a little (big) project. I just picked up a 1946 dodge dually. Along with that I bought a low mile 96 2500 V10 engine, automatic transmission (37RH?) with NP231 transfer case. I have the full wiring harness and computer. My plan is a beastly v10 powered chopped slammed dually rat rod. So my question, obviously I don't want a 4wd "frame layer" so What exactly do I need to do to convert to 2wd? I am guessing I need to find a tail shaft and output shaft from a 2wd, but does it have to be the 37RH or will any of the other autos tail shafts work? Also, do I need to change out the harness and ECU? Any help would be awesome. Oh, and yeah I know I could just go out and buy a 2wd but that's a lot of $$$ and I am trying to keep this as low budget as possible. The more money i save on this is more money for the twin turbo system i am building for it...oops have said to much!

thanks for the bump! After doing some more research, its looking like the best and easiest way is to just find a 2wd tranny and use that instead... so now i am on the hunt for a low mileage 2wd 47rh to trade my 4wd 47rh and transfer case for

Yeah, I know it's been a year, but I have finally got the build on the truck going. Still looking for a 2wd transmission. Possibly thinking of going the manual NV4500 route to. But I have read they don't hold up to a lot of power. I'm thinking 750ish hp. Anyone know or have an experience with big power and which would be better the 47RH or NV4500.
Also, if anyone out there is wanting to do a 2wd to 4wd swap I would love to trade for your 2wd tranny!!
