I put dual electric fans on my 92 silverado and my dads 95 silverado and it does make a difference. The revs are also faster up and down. The only thing i didnt like was that the fans will come on after you park the truck to cool it down. I could have wired it to the ignition but i just left it that way. They are very easy to install.

Leave them wired as is. Once you turn off the engine, coolant temperature rises. with the fans kicking on, you are helping save the head gaskets down the road!

I'd love the steps and parts needed also. Did these ever get pulled out of the closet?

Thanks!

I did the electric fan setup on my 05 Ram Daytona but it would overheat when pulling my 5000 lb boat. So I also put two electric 'pusher' fans on the front of the radiator.. which helped.. some. It would still heat up when pulling uphill in summer. I finally got tired of it and sold the whole batch and went back to the noisy fan. Worked perfectly regardless of weather.

How are you saving the head gaskets? With the engine off, you are only cooling the fluid in the radiator, since the coolant is not circulating. The only thing you are doing is draining the battery.

Although I've heard otherwise, I agree with ram em, there is no coolant circulation so it doesn't help to have the efan on when the water pump is not spinning.

As a comparison, stock tuning of the 4th gen rams does not allow the efan to turn on after ignition off...
