Default 4 Weeks old 2011 Ram Sport

So i bought this Ram 4 weeks ago , everything has been going good with the truck so far. We have had alot of rain from last night and all of this am. I go to get in the truck this am and found out my truck was leaking..
The water is coming through the pillard and leaking all over , the roof is now soaked and the whole pass. side floor is soaked.... So i go by the dealer and i told them , i dont even want the truck switch it out for a new one , and they told me No! they will try to fix the leak through warranty and thats that... Any Idea's?

Looks like a windshield gasket leak. Let them fix it and have them make sure it is totally dried out before they give it back.

Agreed ^^^^, I'd make sure it's dry and clean before taking it back!

Yep windshield leak, i hope it is just the seal & not that it had to make a stop over at Fenkell along the way to the dealership

May sure it is clean, dry, & detailed really good. Make sure it is written down on the paperwork before you sign it & look it over thoroughly before you take possession

Looks to me like it could be the infamous leak around the third brake light gasket. With the rake on the truck, and particularly if you were parked on a slope nose down, the water will find it’s way to the pillars and drip onto the dash and floor. From all the posts this is a very common problem on the 4th gen RAMS. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones as my RAM did not have this problem. Looks like you had quite the rain storm. They should be able to fix it up so it doesn’t leak however I’d be concerned about mould. So as a minimum they should completely clean up the interior for you. Hope you get it sorted out to your satisfaction.

With that amount of water the headliner substrate has most likely been compromised. It will fail much quicker than one that was not subjected to water damage, request a new one.

Hopefully they do it right and don't try and get by with the bare minimum... Make sure you get what you want out of it (i.e. a new head liner). They are going to try and tell you all sorts of stuff why they can't or won't or don't need to, call BS... I'm not saying they owe you a new truck, but make sure you get parts replace that should be replace not just dried out... Good luck and let us know what happens...

I had a issue with my radio and they BS'd around but you better believe I got it fixed, if they would of just listen to me, it would of saved them money but in the end it cost them two new door speakers, one head unit radio and one amp. I told them it was the amp, but they didn't listen to me. Don't take BS for an answer...

i had a 2010 tacoma that had the whole driver side floor flood after i had it only a week. had a bad leak under the winshield wiper cowl. i told them i didnt want it casue i had allergies and i was afraid electrical was ruined etc. they bought it back and gave me another tacoma however this was when the big gas pedal issues were goin on with toyota so im sure they didnt want any more bad publicity. i feel your pain believe me. since they wont take it back id do what all the others have recommended then after it was fixed id run it thru a car wash just to be sure its fixed. goodluck to you

I work for the plant that produces the RAM windshields so this doesn't surprise me. We ship out more defective glass than you could ever imagine, particularly Dodge/Chrysler models. A bad bend in the glass and/or a defect in the rubber molding prevents a complete seal which then leads to leaks. Chrysler is on our backs big time, so at least they are taking steps to eliminate these kinds of issues in their vehicles. I mean people have even been returning their brand new RAM trucks after finding bugs trapped inside the glass...
