Default 2010 rear seat

Is there any way to fold the rear seats DOWN on a 1500 ram Laramie?

If its like my big horn and the bottom flips up, then no, from what i can read it takes removing 4 bolts to get the seat even out, if you wanted to put a cover on it.

I had the same problem. This is my first Ram and I was SURE I was missing something... especially while struggling to attach the upper anchor on a childs car-seat.

hey everyone, there is a way to do it! first off "normally" the back of the seat does not fold down. in the back there is an anchor welded to the rear of the cab, and on the seat there is a J shaped piece of steel that hooks in this anchor to hold the seat. Well if you notice, when we lift the bottom of the seat up, the back also slides up a bit, but not enough to disengage that hook on the back. Heres the fix. remove the 4 bolts that hold the seat to the floor. get some 1/2 inch spacers... what you use is your choice, washers, pipe cut off etc etc. place these spacers UNDER the seat bracket (between bracket and floor), put the bolts back in, and voila now when you lift the bottow of the seat, the back will raise far enough to clear the hook, and you can fold the back down to get at the baby seat anchors etc. when the seat is in the usable position, the lock still catches as its supposed to .... hope this helps guys!!!

P.S. may need to play with the spacer thickness to get the Exact right size, but half inch should work great

I had to remov my rear seats to recover them in leather. Not too hard but they are cumbersome.

Exactly what I was gonna say. I cut some spacers out of 1/2" wood that were shaped just like the foot on the seat and painted them black. Unless you knew they were there you would never notice it. Fold the seat up then the entire seat would fold down. Worked great and allowed me to mount my amps to my back wall without any problem.

This was on an 07 Big Horn but I'm pretty sure these are no different.

I curse Dodge every time I have to remove and replace my son's car seat. The same person who designed the headlights (light bulb change) was repsonsible for the rear seats.
