Default Damn Idle

What in the hell is up with my 2011 Ram and the annoying idling? When I come to a red light or a stop sign, the friggin idle drops below 500 and I can feel it surging, and then it shoots back up to 750. Anyone else ever noticed that awkward feeling? There is no hesitation on start up or take off, but that damned aggravating weak idle. It's enough for the ol lady to take notice, and asks, "What was that"

How many miles? Maybe time to give the TB a good clean but could be leak or vacuum related since it happens when coasting to a stop.

Only 3,100 miles on it, and the only mod that has been installed is the billet oil catch can....

I have the same problem and it is very annoying. I was thinking about calling service because sometimes it idles around 700 but then warms up and goes to 500 then coming to stops it drops then jumps up. If I am pulling into my garage I have to be careful so it doesn't jump forward into my wall.

Kay9, I'm gonna call service and schedule an appointment. You don't think by chance the oil catch can could be causing the problem do you? Think it will be alright for me to leave it installed when taking it to the dealer for warranty work?

ive heard on other sites that it is the egr valve opening and closing. hemis are known not to meet emissions and with a lower idle, the less emissions it puts off. which makes sense so thats my 2 cents. what you guys think?
