Well Im building a new engine for my SS. Before it had a 498" LSX 14:1CR solid roller ITB nasty freakin thing that made might 850 whp and while it never made a full pass, had high 8sec- low 9sec 330' and 1/8mile times n/a. I got tired of that though and decided to sell the complete motor trans combo and build something bigger and better
Here is how the car has been sitting for about a month and a half with no engine/trans.
Plans (roughly 460 ci)
tall deck RHS block
Callies magnum rotating assembly with custom diamond 9.5:1 pistons
Dailey 5 stage dry sump oiling system
Mast Motorsports 12 degree large bore heads
Custom spec'ed cam (obviously nothing "off the shelf" would come close to being good for this build lol)
Super victor intake manifold w/ accufab TB
and to top it all off!, erm should I say sit in front of everything and make a whole lot of noise!

So car i have the rotating assembly and the block, still waiting on the oiling system before I begin assembly.
Im shooting for 14XX+ to the wheels on C16 w/ meth @ 35 psi and 1000 or so to the wheels on "low boost" (see 20-25psi) on the street on pump gas and meth and I wont be happy with out a mid7 second timeslip
Till more likely get a t400 for a trans
Ill update this as i go and get parts for it. I hope to be on the road again mid next summer, I have a lot of work to do on the car itself like rollcage (it doesnt have one) and fuel tanks and crap like that. Im going to full interior drag car that can be taken to a show/cruise if I want it to.
