Hard shutter at cruising speed
I have a 2002 Ram 1500 4x4 QC with the 5.9 engine. I have had the truck for about 4 months and have put around 5000 miles on it so far. The truck now has 93,xxx miles on it and except for the fuel mileage I have really like the truck (I knew the MPG would not be good). The previous owner took great care of the truck. It wasn't his daily driver. I have put a set of shocks front and back (coil overs on the back) and upper control arms but thats it so far. My concern is that a couple of times while at cruising speed I have had a hard shutter like something just come loose and grapped again. It just hits once and goes away. There is no vibration. You would almost think you hit a bad pothole in the road. Has anyone has something like this? Ideas? I thought about torque converter but like others I've had trouble with they'll shutter in and out several time before they quit.
