Default Straight pipe vs. muffler

I'm looking for your 2 cents on this, I started with 2 1/2 single exit magnapack. Then I cut the magnapack off and just straight piped it, now I'm looking at bigger y pipe and running 3inch single exit pipe and can't decide on straight pipe or the magnapack.

My truck lost 3.8whp and picked up 6.2ft lbs (these are uncorrected numbers btw) when i took my muffler off and ran open I pipe.

I would run some sort of muffler. If your looking for the loudest smallest one possible check into Moroso spiral flows. They are around 10" long (case length) and keep things tame around time and at low speed and SCREAM up top. For me the drone of the straight pipe is killing me
