I will not watch the film clip or whatever

I used to work for the State of California, CALTRANS, in highway maintenance
we cleaned up wrecks, did traffic control, kept the storm drains open, etc.
all of these jobs put our lives at risk, because we were actually on the pavement

In May & June of This year 3 road maintenance people, in my area have been killed while doing their jobs, this was in a 48 day period

The last person, a 52 year old highway worker, that i have worked with, was picking up debris on the side of highway ramp. The ramp is suppose to be a 35 mph ramp, it has some sight distance issues.
The driver that struck him was speeding, almost everyone does on that ramp, the worker was out on the ramp a little further than he should have been, so both parties were at fault
the driver felt bad, but he told the tv news, that there was nothing he could have done different at the time. blind curve, person out on the ramp, no time to brake. I watched him give the interview & i thought, you could have slowed to 35 mph in the first place.

Then i heard from sources, that the driver still had to appear in court, although NO charges were filed.
the week before that court date, someone jumped off a building, certain people are saying that it was that driver
SAN DIEGO (Reuters) - A man committed suicide on Monday in an eight-story leap from a parking structure near where "Occupy San Diego" demonstrators were gathered, but it was unclear if he identified with the protesters, authorities said. The unidentified 42-year-old man was carrying some flyers in his pockets, but it was not immediately known if those were political tracts or had some other content

I will have to find out if it was, maybe causing an death in a accident, is too much for some people to take after the shock wears off

I guess it would be good to point out that the video isn't gory and doesn't show any graphic injuries or anything of that nature. It's too far away and too poor quality and I would assume that most of the poor child's injuries were internal. However, it will bother you to watch it. If you have children, especially small children, it will bother you for the next several days.

The extreme part to this is that it appears the driver stopped after striking her with the front of the vehicle, pauses briefly, then continues on to strike her with the rear as well. And then multiple people pass by within feet of the child and do not stop. How??? I just don't understand how someone could do any of that. Is it more common to see a toddler lying in the street in China than it is here? I just don't understand folks.

Although it's not gory that video made me truly nauseous and brought tears to my eyes. Man's inhumanity to man seems to all to frequent today but when that inhumanity extends to a small child I am truly concerned about our future.
