DEFINATELY will not be one you could slip by the significant other I don't mind the 18" noise level but the wife doesn't care for it.

What's up with these women??? I'm a Level 1 A-hole because I can't wrap my head around why my wife needs to spend 2500 bucks for Pandora charms to go around her wrist like some 4th grader, yet I spend 250 skins to make my truck sound as badass as it looks and I get the "Did we really need to buy that?" Ummm What???

On a side note, I was kind of wondering if the 18 was going to level out a bit in sound as it broke in. Sounds awesome accelerating from a stop!!

I've had my 18" for almost 2 years and it got a little bit louder over time.

Definitely wishing I had gone with the 24". I was looking for the truck to sound a little more "muscular" and think the 24" probably would've done that. I think the 24" would be a nice choice for those who still value a quiet cab ride, but want the enhanced performance a freer flowing exhaust provides. The factory mufflers that come on these Rams are ridiculously restrictive.

I have the 24" & you still get the drone at low speeds with the mds. I disable overdrive or turn on tow mode & no more drone. Sounds great. Saving my pennies for a tuner so it can disable the mds for good.

I got the 18" welded in and actually...most of the time...I like it a lot...when I'm by myself.

What I don't like about it are the things everyone here mentioned. We do use my truck when we go places with the family (wife & 3 kids) and it is a little louder for their taste. Its not too bad except of course when the MDS kicks in. The worse is when I pulling the camper with the fam and it goes from real loud, to drone, back to loud again.

I will swap it out with the 24" soon enough just cause I've hear a lot of good things about the 24" and I'm sure I'll like it even more than the 18" I got now.

Props to the OP for posting up the review.

I had the Mufflex 18 for a year now, loved it then and love it now.
I dont think its too loud, I like to hear a lil bark when the tires bite.
And I turned my MDS back on it really makes a difference in my gas millage.
The only problem I have had is I could not get the clamps to hold tight,
but after a trip to the local muffler shop and they layed a inch long bead on
each joint no more problems!!

I did mean to share a little trick I experimented with because I heard a lot of people were having issues with the muffler clamps not providing a good enough seal causing leaks. I put a bead of "muffler repair" around the existing muffler piping before sliding it into the female ends of the mufflex system. I did 2 out of the 3 clamps that way and the one I didn't put the bead around leaked! So I put a bead around that one, slid it back in, tightened the clamp back up, let it cure for an hour and viola! No leaks! Saves a trip to the local muffler shop to have the joints welded and you still get the benefit of being able to remove the muffler if you want to swap it out later.

Couple points to mention
1.) I installed my 18 Mufflex and Diablo a year ago, Love It!
2.) My wife loves the sound, and the Hot 92 Super Tune I had mapped
3.) My wife's car is an 2011 WRX STI, hence support of item (2)
4.) Pandora is great....I buy something, and I buy her a charm....No brainer.
