Question First 6 days and 1000 miles later...

Truck is still running amazing! lol i took this pic going down the highway, i was looking to see if i could get over and all i see is my bedliner flying a foot above my tail gate!!! i about crapped my pants haha i had already been on the road for an hour before i notice it was doin that! pulled over at the next exit and let down the tailgate, end of story =]

Alright ive got a question, is it normal? When in cruise and in overdrive, i start up a hill, and as my RPM begin to climb, my A/C stops blowing. but once i top the hill and the RPM's level back out to 2000, it kicks right back on....

Sounds like compesor clutch is kicking out. Might be a bad relay or pressure sensor, but more then likely its just low on freeon. But if you tow and rpm jump up suddenly like a down shift will kick it off but you should not notice in the cab.

call your local auto zone tell them what code you have. it might have some thing to do with it. the computer has alot to do in these trucks. almost crazy amount!

You have a vacuum leak in the heat/air system, it defaults to defrost under low or no vacuum.

Thats exactly what it is! i hear little plastic pieces in the duct work moving around when it happens! then kicks back to normal, so if i keep running it as is, will the problem get worst or will the A/C cut out all together?

Mr. Lopar, once i put the tail gate down, i tied a rope across the back hooks on the bottom to make sure it didnt fly up any higher. but once back on the road, the wind coming over the cab pushed the bedliner down and it no longer flys like that!

I run 90% of the time my tailgate down anyway. So I guess I won't have to worry about mine going for a flight.
