Oh yeah, I always keep records of I get anything done by anyone other than the dealership. I used to do my oil changes but documented this and even wrote the mileage on the filter when I installed it and so on. BUT since my dealership does do really good work and I like to return the favor to them by letting them service my trucks and so on. So, if I change my own Torque converter this may be an issue, but if I paid a dealership to install it (If they would do that) as long as it falls within specs like a slightly looser torque converter similar to the one in the R/T's would the work be covered under the warranty? Not the TC itself but all that surrounds that one piece?

Any thoughts on how installing an aftermarket torque converter (thinking Edge Mild Street) would affect the warranty? I can't get my dealer to budge and I'm tired of dealing with them. You'd think they'd give me some sort of warranty extension for improving their POS part.

Unfortunately, a line has to be drawn somewhere. There is always a risk when using aftermarket parts. If your choice is to install an aftermarket TC, there is a greater risk of a dealer not covering your transmission if a failure occurs. More so than say HID's.

You as a customer always has a choice.

No, they won't warrant the transmission with an aftermarket T/C.

I am waiting for someone to try installing the 2012 steering wheel on an older Gen 4 vehicle
of coarse it would also mean at minimum a change of the steering column housing & wiring harness
