Before the first real weather hits, go get real familiar with your 4x4 system. It's nothing to be afraid of- just another tool in your arsenal.

A big grassy/sandy/muddy field or sandy trails work fine to get a feel for your 4wd setup. The key thing to remember is that your standard 4wd setup is not designed for long term dry pavement driving, due to lack of slip between the front and rear axles.

Also- the biggest rule to remember- 4wd go does not always mean 4wd stop!
