Well, that's what I am going for, except mine will be wheel to wheel units with 3 steps per side.

I've heard the instructions from NFAB suck...

Yea these are only cab length, im telling ya brother these guys want you to take a hole saw make a 1 inch diameter hole in your trucks sheet metal and then put the stupid clips in , 1st off good luck getting a hole saw in the whopping 9 inches there is between the sheet metal and the frame 2nd off the clips are sprung wayyyy to tight to even fit where they want you to 3rd they dont tell you that you have to take off your plactic fender trim piece and trim it , even on my SLT bighorn there is no way you wouldnt have to trim but hey N-fab has the latest and greatest most coolest gotta have truck stuff of the market today ................ right ???? hahaha but really they are def alot better and look alot better than your average summit 99 dollar specials

Well, there are always the GoRhino units or the MBRP units.

Maybe I'll re-think my choice.

I didn't do anything like what you describe
i never moved the brackets or cut any holes
the only thing i did was make the rear step longer

i didnt cut and holes or do anything with any brackets either me and maddog where just talking about how poor the instructions where ther instructions tell you do do all that and the only reason i had to cut the fender plastic trim peice is because on the 2011 it comes back about 8 inches on the pinch weld and the step doesnt sit flush on it with the plastic piece there thats all, looks sikk with the longer rear section good job on that one

At the time that i did that, around March or April of 2009, N-Fab was not making 3 step nerf bars for the Gen 4 Rams
So i had a muffler shop cut off the rear step & extend it, then it was sent off for re-powder coating

I have to raise a sign quickly when i get to a job site, the longer step helps a lot

My go rhino's fit like a glove, no modifying anything on the truck. The brackets are very heavy duty too. Just for reference...

OK...good info, guys! Maybe I'll go with them after all as I like that 3-step design for my MegaCab.
