Default Bed Rail Liner Question

The liner on the bed rail does not fit to the top of the rail (1/2" high above the rail). I was thinking of using a heat gun to heat the plastic cover and use a glove to hold it in place until it cools. I'm thinking this will fix the problem. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

I know you posted pics but I still don't get it....Are you talking about the side rail caps, the rear bed liner cap, or the cover?

Yes, the side rail cap at the corner next to the cab. It's not flush with the steel bed rail. I know it's a small issue but it bugs me every time I see it. The photo doesn't do it justice. It's about a 1/2" off the steel bed rail at the cab.

I see now....at the very front most part of the side rails?

I don't know it the heat would work or not...I wonder why it's even like that?

They tend to warp in the sun. I had a set replace under warranty on my '09. The second set (and now the '11) have an Undercover tonneau on them now so they are holding their shape better. It's just the nature of the beast, I think. There are a few companies out there that make after-market replacements for them. They're usually polished aluminum (or diamond plate), if you can live with that.
