Default CEL light

Only mod I have is CAI...but for some reason the cel light came on so i disconnected the battery and it was gone but came on again days later. I left it on and it went out by itself. I've been using 89 gas but switched to 93. Right now the cel light is off. What what would cause it to go on but then go off. I didn't have a chance to pull the code and am going to buy a DSP anyway. Just curious what makes it go on then off. I think normally they go on then stay on..thanks

Normally they see a different CFM flow with the aftermarket kit and think there is an intake leak. It takes a bit of time for the PCM to learn the new parameter and normally they don't set a hard code (comes back all the time) but will set a momentary code.

Three (3) starts is usually the minimum number for the computer to adapt.
