916Timmy - I know that our pulleys are pressed on but, whenever I take the clutch fan off, it looks like the nut on the end of the fan helps to hold the fan on. I seen that you don't have one of the pic you posted. What are your thoughts on this...

I'm sorry, but i don't understand what you are asking. The fan is attached to the clutch mechanism, which is threaded onto the water pump pulley. I pulled the whole thing off...

Sorry, I should of explained it a little better. After you removed the clutch fan, did you put anything on the threaded rod coming from the center of the pulley? I know that our pulleys are pressed on. I was just wondering if the nut on the clutch fan assembly helped to hold the pulley coming off.

Got ya...the pulley is pressed on, the threads are just to mount the clutch fan assembly. It's not going anywhere...there are a few people that have had the fans off for years without any problems.

Okay. When I pulled mine off, it looked like the nut was there to help hold it in place so I was just double checking because I haven't seen anyone that posted pics of their e fans with anything on it. I just wanted to make sure that the pulley isn't gonna come flying off while I'm on the highway. That will do some damage. I appreciate it.

No worries....I checked with a few Ram owners that did theirs last year before i did mine, and I took mine to the track and did 10 passes onit....it's good to go!!! If anything, the water pump pulley is safer now, because it's not turning extra weight!
