The muffler used in the Mufflex DOD14M kit is a Magnaflow, they also supply the pipes to hook the shorter 14" muffler up to your existing tailpipes,as well as all clamps and hangers great for a do it yourself install.Put this kit on my 2011 Ram Sport, love the sound.........Rob

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=95232. My video is in there. The 14" is perfect its not loud in the cab ( louder then stock obviously but not obnoxious) and when your eco turns on its quieter. I am glad I went with the 14" because the websites scale makes it seem like its going to be to loud but it really isn't. No point in spending tons of money when 250$ will change everything.

i have the 18" magnaflow. got rid of the stock tailpipe and just did a 90 degree turn down in front of the axel. i love it. i had a FM super 44 on my 02 ram before i traded it in. that was WAY too much for me! i wanted something for this truck that was only heard under acceleration. to each their own.

I have the equation for you...

Do you have a wife, gf that rides with you or a small child that sleeps in cab? If you answered no then get the 14, otherwise get the 18

Any drone or annoying noise during highway driving with the 14" kit? I am very interested in the kit and want a bit louder exhaust than stock. My buddy has a Silverado and his (I think Flows) are so damn annoying on the freeway. After about 30 minutes you get a terrible headache.

Would the 18" muffler be any louder than stock? I am looking for something louder than stock, but not something that will wake the neighbors when I leave in the morning haha.

18'' Magnaflow with the resonator removed is a lot louder then stock. I start hearing it at 1800rpm and i'm deaf and hard of hearing. I wouldn't want it louder.

Maybe with the resonator still in place it wouldn't be loud enough.

I have a 2011 Outdoorsman Hemi. So 3'' SI/SO Magnaflow 12259 dump right after the axle.

Would you say adding the turn down did much in terms of loudness? Has the drone with it?

I'm pretty happy with the 14" magnaflow, wish it was a tad louder though. Want to dump it over the rear axle or maybe in front...just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Did you just chop the stock exhaust or did you have to add anything?

Are you guys using the stock resonators? Is this a simple swap of the muffler? Or is it a true "cat back" exhaust??
