Default Tape Between Doors

Just traded my 09 for a 011 and I have seen some of you guys take the black tape off between the doors. My new one is white and I think it would look good with that black removed between the doors. Can anyone tell me how its done or do you just tear it off................hope mine is painted underneath

it does just pull off, do it slowly. my truck is black so I don't have the tape but I took my father in laws off for him his truck is silver and it looks so much better..

please remember to wax the area when you are done. also search B pillar tape removal in the search tool it will show some that have been done.

I started at the top and pulled down and toward the window. That seamed Be the easiest for me. I then used 3m adhesive cleaner and cleaned the area. I then waxed the area the adhesive cleaner was on. I think it looks much better. Ps. I tried to pull up and I tried to peel the sides. It was by far the easiest to start at the top corned and pull down and toward the window.

All you need is arm strength, phillips screw driver, goo gone, and a rag. Just open both doors and look at the base of both B pillars. There is a rubber/plastic piece that run along the window. Were the B pillars meet this piece there is one screw holding the trim piece up against the B piller (screw is on the inside of the door). Take the screw out so when you start to peel the tape down, you'll be able to remove it once you get down to the base.

Once the tape is remover, re-install the screw, then spray the glue with Goo Gone. Let it set for maybe a minute and then just rub off until clean. Your done, hope this helped some...

I have a white sport 10 model and stripped mine off a couple of weeks ago. I tried the first one without any heat and it came off just fine but left a ton of the adhesive. For the rest I used a heat gun to warm it up which made it come off really easy. It also took most of the adhesive with it so there was less to clean. Surprisingly, the adhesive that is left behind does come off easily though. A little Goo Gone and perfect.

You will HAVE to wax it after though. I had kind of a honey comb haze of a pattern left by the tape. A little rubbing compound/wax and it was gone though.

After taking it off, I am really not sure I like it better with it off though. I think it looks a little sportier with it on. Looks more Big truckish with it off. If that even makes sense.... The quad cab look is much more defined with it off.
