Default 05 leveling question

What size leveling kit is everyone using to get as close to level as possible? Im measuring 3.5" difference front to back. I have gone back and forth between lowering the back with shackles or leveling the front with the spacer.Im leaning more toward doing the front. Any advice on what worked for those that have done it? Thanks

Most 3rd Gen trucks appear to level out with a 2" kit.

How are you measuring to come up with the 3.5" difference?

Depends on whether your truck is 2wd or 4x4, especially with your truck because it makes a difference whether you can use a coil spacer or if you have torsion bars.
With that much difference my guess is it's 2wd. If it is Rough Country sells a 3" lift kit for it. You can use the rear block or leave it out if you really want it level

Guys, I pick my 04 ST up on Monday and the frist thing I'm going to do is lower the rear to level-out the ride. Sounds like 2" drop shackles in the rear are on track. Rough Country is the way to go? I'll check them out, any other providers?

Rough country only sells lift, you might want to drop by the lowered section and those guys could give you advise on where to get a set of drop shackles from

Thanks Stang, I don't want to do it twice so I might go with the 2" and be done with it.

are you 2wd or 4wd? a 2" drop in the rear on a 2wd will not level it out. A 4" will get it much closer but you will loose the ability to haul heavy weight.
