Default 1500 4x4 strut install

I apologize if this has been done to death, but I've searched and searched and can't find any how to. I've had the springs out of my prior Rams '04 and '06 diesels, but I'm in the dark about the struts in my current '07 1500 4x4. I've read where you have to disconnect the lower ball joint, another the upper ball joint.....is there somewhere in this forum or a link on the net that I can't find instructions. I've got front and back KYB's and a rented spring compressor and would like to get this done asap. THANKS

Thanks anyway Maddog! Got rid of the "strange" suspension noise and a real noticeable ride improvement. Just curious, is separating the upper control arm how the manual shows? Sure is a quick way after you've done one side and figured out what how to proceed

As someone who has had to remove the factory struts/coils, add new ones & than replace the new ones with another set of new ones all within 2 months..I can say the factory lower strut bolt will be the hardest thing if its seized. We only removed the upper ball joint & upper sway bar linkage connection on the 3rd set.

I just got done replacing mine and I couldn't get the upper ball joint to come off the passenger side. I didn't want to damage it, so I am here to say that it is possible to get the strut out with only disconnecting the sway bar.

I would not recommend this method, but in a pitch you can do it with a 2nd person.
