I myself have taken on a few tundra's and won both times, but they sure do hang on right on your rear. My closest race so far was a 6.2l raptor, I won by about half a truck. The Ecoboost F150's dont even come close to many young punks with those here trying to race lol. I keep telling em displacement over boost equals win lol

Default Tundras and others...

I drove my Dad's 2010 Tundra a couple of weeks ago and it was indeed very quick. However, when he drove my 2010 Dodge and stepped into the HEMI his eyes got big and he grinned ear to ear!

I smoked some rich broad in a brand new 'Vette (yes, she was aware we were racing!) does that count? haha

I absoultely shredded a completely modded out Honda Civic that sounded like the world was coming to an end (if you're afraid of bumble-bees that is, 'cuz that's what it sounded like)... He was sporting the street racing shoe polish numbers and everything. You could hear his turbo scream like a stuck pig. This was on the freeway from 60 to about 90mph. Like the guy said above, I wasn't even trying to race him, I just needed to exit. Well this bozo followed me off and motioned for me to roll the window down, which I of course did. He said something like "pretty fast, man... but I'd kick your ass off the line". We were second in line at that light and I told him if he can get around the guy in front of him I'd do the same and we'll give it a shot at the next light. After two lights we were both up front with nary a cop in sight and a low traffic freeway access road in front of us. The light turned green and he floored it like a dragster - Thus smoking those tiny little tires. I just got into the HEMI hard but didn't break the tires loose... And since he had specifically ASKED for this public vulgar display of power I made sure to get in front of him in HIS lane by the time we had to stop at the next light. He moved over and pulled up next to me on the other side with his window still down... I said "Hey, are you going to a street race?" he mumbles, "uhh, yeah man." I replied "Cool, can I follow you there because I'm going to bet every dollar I have on whoever you race!"... His face turned more red than the light we were stopped at, and his five (yes, FIVE) buddies packed in the car with him began to laugh. The light turns green and he yells "F**K YOU OLD MAN as he sped away!!! I'm 39!!! LOL!

Anyway, thanks for the posts and stories, and for putting up with my stupid rice burner experience.

Nice Job on the kill. I recently took my brother-in-laws 07 Tundra single cab with the 5.7. I think it really surprised him, he has not spoke of it since. LOL.

Nice, RansRAM. My Dad hasn't mentioned our recent little test drive swap either!

Thanks for the reply.

Wink

If I keep knocking off little 4 cyl rice-burner "tuners" I may need to start displaying WW-II era kill flags below my drivers side window. It's always a 20 yr old wannabe with no skills; Lots of screeching tires, etc... Get your money back on those "performance modifications" buddy and invest in some driving lessons!!! ha ha

The Tundra's come with 4.11's or 4.30 gear ratios and 381hp, so technically it should be faster off the line, on avg, than a RAM. But they don't have a hemi I think if you look at the power band differences from the Tundra to the Hemi, the Hemi is steeper, if I recall, lending more weight to the longer / faster you race the more likely the Hemi is gonna win!

LOL Nice kills. Love to hear em!

Tundra's are to expensive for what they are anyway.

And Raptors are insane expensive, someone nutty is pricing those.....lol

In my experience it's not the guys that make the most noise, it's the guys that just stand around and grin when everyone is talking their sh!t. Their the ones that I watch out for. Talking sh!t never made any car or truck faster--chrome don't make it faster either. IMHO
