I had the same problem, i was in a down pour, hands full of paper grocery bags & the Fobs didn't work, Ram was still under Warranty
They gave me 2 new Fobs & kept the old ones.
Not much of an issue now, just once in a while i have to click the FOB more than once,

When it doesn't work after a few presses, i start the Ram remotely & then click the unlock button

I asked around & it seems that sometimes the communication between the FOB & the Ram can be on a different transmitting cycle
It also happens with my Homelink garage door button on occasion, ust when trying to get it to open, never when closing

Changing the battery in the fob is pretty easy... just remove the built in key from the fob, then gently pry the fob apart from the inside where you removed the key. The fob uses one CR2032 coin cell battery.

I rotate my keys every month. Was told this was the best way to keep fob current. Someone said that each fob has a limited number of clicks before it shuts itself down. By rotating it every month it resets itself back to zero!

Mine started acting up so I took it apart and cleaned the contacts. It worked for awhile however has started acting up again. I've noticed that I can continue to press the open and nothing happens. What I have discovered is that if I press the lock first to relock it I can press the open and it works on the first press. Weird but it works. So I don't think the issue is related to a dead battery, more likely the software.

Thanks for the info! I will have to take it in and see about getting it replaced. Only having one is driving me nuts! I need an oil change anyways so it is a great reason to go in on top of that!
