alright i just got home from work so i will work on it tomorra....oem? i know that its a copper risister. the original kind for my truck.

oem means original equipment manufacturer. In other words the same as stock/factory. Double check and make sure you are using oem plugs, I agree with mr lopar I think the champions are oem.

yes i know they are champians too, the one the guy put in are the platnum champians.... the ones i put in are the copper risistor champians (oem)

Yeah he's definitely full of it. Worst part is, he worked on the truck. If you get the ignition sorted out and it's still backfiring, I'm thinking hotdog got in the truck after doing the work he did, and he revved it up a few times. If you had a weak intake belly pan gasket, it may have failed. Eliminate possible vacuum leaks externally. Make sure all the lines are intact and in place.
