Thank you Sir. It all comes down to tomorrow. If that amp board doesn't fit, I'm going to either take a break before I re-do it (for the 4th time) or I may even sell all my stuff and go cat skiing all winter with the $. Cutting that MDF in my driveway in minus 20 weather with my neighbours watching and sawdust getting everywhere is not at all appealing right now. If I re-do the board, I may try something other than MDF. Not sure what. Hopefully it won't come to that.

Looks very good. Can't wait to see the finished product. I keep looking at threads on stereos and I have most of what I need to do mine. The main thing I am missing is motivation. Seeing all these might be just what I need.

Thank you Sir.

That's not bad - you've got the goods and, I expect, the knowledge. Motivation should be easier to muster up than $ or knowledge/experience. I had the motivation, I bought what I needed (spending like a drunken sailor) and tried to learn as I went. If you've got the stuff and know what you're doing, it shouldn't be an overly long process. I'm happy to help you any way I can.

I am actually quite fortunate. I had no idea what I was doing (and still largely don't) but I have not wasted any money on wrong purchases yet. That said, I still don't have my speakers - widebanders in the dash, running tweeterless, and 6.5 drivers in the 4 doors. I think I screwed up there, to the tune of $1250. And I have been waiting for them to arrive for months. Holy shit!

Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised but if I did it again, I'd go with a bird in the hand - HATs. Likely Lagatias in the dash, and 6x9 Imagines in the doors. $300 for the pair of Imagines gets you hammering mid-bass and sweet highs.

I'm going to run this past Frank Drebin. Maybe the vendor of the speakers I bought will credit me back before they ship...

Who's making these speakers by hand in a straw hut and shipping by row boat that it takes that long to deliver? I'd be going nuts by now and would of cancelled and order something else. They'd better be worth the wait. Are these the same ones as Franks?

So what's the latest on your project? Are you pounding major wattage yet? Sorry I've been away from the site due to work and more work, LOL.

Seson's greetings. No - I have basically abandoned the whole project indefinitely. The fawker who I ordered my speakers from (same guy as Frank) has gone 100% dark on me. I paid $1200 3 months ago. He won't respond to my PMs. I've spoken to a few well known and well respected guys over at DIYMA about this. If I don't hear from him soon, his name will be shit at DIYMA. What an a-hole.

I won't be getting rid of anything. Part of my soul resides in that system.

Damn bro, that truly sucks. I have been following your posts, and was hoping to see a great conclusion. I too live in calgary, and am in the midst of outfitting my ram with a system. I have been waiting to see if you could make that amp rack work, because I am either going to do a similar one behind seat, or a full custom fiberglass headliner with amps built into that(but thats a major undertaking)

FoxBox(took forever to be shipped!)
Alpine SWR-T12 x 2
Alpine Type R Fronts SPR-60(6.5")
Alpine Type R Rears SPE-6090(6x9")
Alpine PDX-M12
Alpine PDX-F6
Tsunami HCAP-10
PioneerAVH-P4300DVD
Let me know if you have any new status in your build.
