Ok no you dont have to remove the calipers what i did was spray the crap out of it with brake cleaner then wire brushed them then more brake cleaner then rinsed it off with degreaser then washed it off , now i used high heat primer first then the caliper kit from auto zone the brush on not the spray.Been like 4 months no chipping or flaking now when i sprayed then it chipped like crazy hope this helps.
