Default Lowering 2012 Ram express. Couple ?s

Hey guys, brand new to the forum. I just recently bought a brand new dodge ram express. I originally had a 2003 dodge ram so ive been around them for a while. One thing I noticed about my previous ram is it sat a little lower than the new one. What Im looking to do it lower my express, not too low, but just a little bit. Was wondering if you guys could fill me in on the process, what cost Im looking at, and the difficulty of the project. Thanks guys

I also own an express and I installed the ground force 2" rear drop kit kit from amazon for $270. It took me an hour to install it, you will need a car lift or jack stands to get the rear high enough. It's just a spring and shock replacement. I would definitely consider that kit, the ground force and other kits require some holes to be drilled in the frame and the track bar and end links need to be cut also. The ride on the 2" drop is the same as stock but any lower then 2" in the rear causes a very stiff and bumpy ride. I'll post a picture for you soon so you can see what it looks like. I also converted my express to an R/T, I added the paint matched mirrors and door handles, sport hood, 22" Alcoas and alot more.

Hey Tony, thanks for the advice. Pictures would be great if youre going to post them. One question, you lowered the back, but not the front?

Will lowering the front on you new Express be an issue because of the 20" wheels/tires? Did your '03 have 17's? I notice my '12 Express is pretty tall too, but I'm thinking part of it is the 20's these trucks come stock with??? dodgert's setup looks pretty good there. I'd guess that maybe you can use an airbag suspension addition if you need to carry a load...perhaps?

TNC, my 03 ram had stock 20's. If Dodgert only lowered the rear then that's what I'm going to do. I want my truck to have that same stance to it. Tony mentioned that he had to drill holes in the frame...I'm not looking to do anything like that.

MOPAR also has a lowering kit

I personally like this Ram Bianco stance that uses a GROUND FORCE Kit, it sits on 22" rims

this Ram is also on 22s, if i could get by with a RT, this Ram would be perfect
