Question Trying to get pictures from USB to Nav system.

I am trying to get photos from a usb drive to my pictures in my factory nav unit. When I go to my pictures and hit add, it gives me an option for a disc or a usb, but the usb is grayed out and I can not click on it. I have tried two differend usb drives and cant get the usb drive to open up.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I had the same issue. I found that using a usb thumb drive worked. I noticed that i only put a few pics on the thumbdrive it worked better. If i remember correct i put the thumbdrive first then hit menue button and there was an option to add pics and usb was no longer greyed out.
hope this helps im not in my truck at the moment so im going by memory

I've noticed that some usb drives don't work or if you have files on the drive that the head unit can't read, it will cause issues. Try and reformat the usb drive and put ONLY the pics you want to transfer on it.

CDs can work just as USBs do with holding pictures. Try throwing the pictures on a CD.

I just put pictures on a disc and tried it that way and nothing. Got some bad static like the driver was trying to play the cd for music and a message saying cannot access divice.

I would have to guess that you are using the incorrect FILE format
IF it is in some sort of APPLE format it won't recognize it

Copy Pictures To The Hard-Drive
Insert either a CD or a USB device containing your pictures.
Touch the MY PICTURES soft-key to get an overview of the currently stored images.
Press one of the ADD PICTURES soft-keys, then select the type of media inserted.
Use the PAGE soft-keys to page through a list of pictures and press the picture you would like to import.
Confirm your selection by touching the YES soft-key. The imported picture is now available on the MANAGE MY PICTURES screen.
In order to display the imported picture on the radio screen, touch the desired picture soft-key.
Select the picture by pressing the PICTURE VIEW soft-key. A check mark indicates the currently used picture.

try using the JPEG format, read page 86 of your nav system manual

Loads of people have the same issue
