Default Looking for LSD Recommendations

New owner of a 2011 Sport. Got everything I wanted except the limited slip diff option. I'm going to take it into a shop for a ReadyLift kit (1.5" rear 2.25" front) level/lift install. I'm thinking I should do the LSD at the same time. So my ? is,

1) What type or technology.
2) Brand -Mopar or?
3) Any est. on the cost of the parts and labor.

I have 3.92 gears.

Has anybody done this? Any warranty issues?

Thanks All.

Lunatuna, are you sure you don't have the limited slip differential? I thought all the 3.92's came with lsd. I could be wrong but that was my understanding. Check your window sticker to see if it lists anti-spin differential under your 3.92 option.

you can have LSD with the 3.55 or the 3.92
but it usually comes without

Send for your AS BUILT SHEET or as they call it Build Sheet, it is different than the window sticker, it lists everything, they send it quickly by fax or email

The window sticker show $50 for the 3.92 but nothing about anti-slip.
I don't know if it means anything but when I did the Build Your Own on the Dodge website the price came out the exactly the same as the sticker.

Just sent a request for the Build Sheet.

Thanks for the info.

If you get an aftermarket I think the best out there is probably the eaton true trac. I think it uses a worm gear in lieu of clutch packs, so it doesn't wear out.

If you don't want to wait for the build sheet, you could turn your traction control off and light em up. The patch marks will tell you all you need to know.

Not necesarily...my 3.21 open spins both tires sometimes...The best way is to jack the rear and spin one tire. If the other side goes the opposite direction = open diff. If they spin the same direction = LSD

I also vote for the Detroit True-Trac. Pretty pricey up front, but no maintenance!

Got the build sheet. It's a conventional differential.

Sorry, lunatuna. I just checked my window sticker and my 3.92's were a $325 option and they came with the anti-spin diff. There is a million defferent ways you can configure a Ram, sometimes it's hard to keep track. Wish they would simplify it a little for our sake and theirs.

I'm almost positive the gearing options (3.21 OR 3.92) are a $50 option, the LSD option is $325.
