I replaced the EGR valve on my wifes 300C about a year ago. It was the 5.7 hemi. It had similar problems like you are describing, but it was throwing codes and the check engine light was on.

That's the frustrating part...no codes. Today, on three different occassions, when I would flip on my left turn signal, both turn signal lights in my dash blinked...just like they would if the hazards were on. However, it only did it when I was signaling left. UGH!

since the electronics maybe acting goofy you might consider having the dealer flash the pcm..

I had erratic shift problems and it turned out to be the throttle positions sensor. I know from experience that low battery voltage WILL cause all sorts of computer problems even though the truck may start.
