Default Factory keyless entry 2011 1500

My Truck did not come with keyless entry the dealer promised me that would be no problem but the units cost about 600.00. They would throw it in on the deal. Well now they say it cannot be done and sent my brand new truck over to some yahoo that butchered my wiring in the door. The installed some RES-48 that cost 29.00 on the internet with some relays that were put together with duct tape. Can any one help me with the keyless entry problem

Why would they do such a thing???

I'm not sure if you can add it or not (I suspect you'd need a PCM flash as well) but seems to me they need to get rid of the butcher and find a qualified shop if they can't do it.

Did they say specifically why it can't be added???

Seems to me that if keyless entry was on the sales contract and your truck doesn't have it, you should go back to the dealer with contract in hand and demand an identical truck with the keyless entry, even if they have to order the truck for you.

I have called the factory and have a case number they will call me back monday. The parts department said they do not have a kit for the keyless entry for 2011 or 2010. I have taken pictures of the butcher job on my wiring harness. I fully intend on taking this one to the limit i would have picked a diffrent truck if they had told me it cant be done. I guess I am just out of luck on a factory keyless entry If they would get a pro to install a 600.00 Viper unit that will do I guess.

the part numbers are as follows.. you will need the factory fobiks and emergency keys.
Here are the p/n's listed on my receipt right from the dodge dealer:
fobik (transmitter) 5026376AG
key 68029829AB

As far as the truck is concerned you will need to take it to the dealer and have it programmed EXACTLY like this, in this order, if you don't, it won't work.

-add sales code GXM to vehicle options

-under diagnostic procedures with Wi-tech do a restore vehicle configuration

-the Wi-tech will then reset

-go into the WCM under misc. functions hit the reset WIN configuration

-clear all codes then program the new keys

this works, I had it done today.
