Question problem after factory remote start install

This is my first post to the forum after Making the switch from a 03 silverado ss ... what a night and day difference, I love this truck! but After Installing factory remote start on my 11 big horn and having the keys and win module programmed at the dealer the remote start works fine , but when i hop in and turn the key to run the truck dies and will not restart until the key is cycled off then started normally. also, the brake doesnt act as a kill switch like most remote start setups. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Brake on my from the factory remote start doesn't kill it, thankfully. Didn't either on my 2008's dealer installed factory remote start... The key thing is messed up though.

Well after two more hours at the dealer still no headway. Had pretty much every tech with half a brain look at it and everyone Is stumped. They tried an ecu reset, reprogram the keys... Anyone familiar with the witech, is there any parameters that need to be turned on. They have a call Into the engineer but no response yet...

i would focus on the brake switch. if it doesn't kill it then maybe it is faulty. That or there is a software glitch in the update the dealer did. (That happened during my install)

The brake switch does not kill the engine. That feature isn't needed on vehicles that lock out the shifter until the key is in the run or accessory position. From remote start, I turn the key fob to run, and the truck stays running.

I do not work at a dealer, but being a master mechanic, specializing in electrical(among other things), I would suspect a fault with the wireless ignition node, based on the information that you provided. Turning the key is where you are having the issue, so my thought is that you are loosing contact to a circuit while turning the key.

I would start by checking for a bent connector pin on the w.i.n.

Have dealer check to see if any "remote start inhibitors" is getting set, or might be called "remote start inhibit data". I forget the correct terminology. If turning key is killing engine when you had remote started it kills the engine, in theory there should be a code being stored telling why engine gets killed when you turn the key. I can't remember the exact name off the top of my head, but it should be under one of the system test menus.
