Just letting you know that if you decide to do the taillights know that 06 used the same lights as the 02-05. they changed for 07-08.

yes i had considered the tails as well for the swap... but since the 07-08 has one brake light and the 02-06 has 2 (per side) i decieded against it and will opt for a set of led tails with some vht.

sorry my friend but it sort of did. I ended up keeping my second Gen and didn't get a chance at this. and to make it better I sold my second Gen anyway.

BUT WAIT! it may be a while till I get to do it, but I have planned to do this one way or another, just will take time. I'd like to do it with prerunner fiberglass fenders. when I do, this thread shall have some resurrection, I haven't forgotten.

be my guest! all you need is fenders, headlights, top bumper pad and a grill shell and it's frame, from all my research and comparison it's a direct bolt on.

tails are slightly more complicated, but not impossible.

if doing it doesn't suit you, then I'll gladly do it, when I get a truck, which is probably a while off, sorry.

reps to anyone who does it, I crave doing this mod almost as much as I crave getting my truck.

Yeah, I am not brave enough to do it just yet. Would love to see someone else that has done it, do a complete write-up to know how it goes and what challenges they had to address.
