Default Sport cloth seats and installing factory heater

Is this possible? I see a couple threads pop up on this every once in a while but I never see any definitive answers if it can be done. I believe the connections are there under the seat and Id probably need to dremel out the ram logo under the heater to install.. (I believe thats where the stock on gets installed...)

I ordered the Mopar seat heater kit 82210896AB. The instructions are great and it says that it can be used on leather or cloth seats. I'm waiting for my truck to come back from bodyshop, hit a deer, to install the kit.

^^^^ I heard that this kit can be used on cloth seats as well. I believe it comes with the controls and wiring as well. Should look just like stock. Sorry to hear about the deer.

Yes, it does come with the controls. Reading through the directions, it is completely plug and play. I got it because it does say it can be used on cloth seats, which is what I have. Thanks for thoughts on the deer, truck is only 4 months old and the damage was 7200 dollars!

Did you install them yourself or did the dealership do the install ? I seriously miss the heated seats that I had in my 08 Dak. When I got my RAM I was going to get the heated seat option and install them, just haven`t got around to it yet. It is getting colder now and I sure could use them. $7200 in damage, wow glad your okay. I hit a deer many years ago in my Sisters Grand prix, it was pretty scarry.

*subscribe* How much was that Mopar kit? Keep us updated on the install.

Sorry to read about the deer. Sucks big time but hopefully you're okay.

I'm waiting to get the truck back to install them. I'll be doing it myself as it doesn't seem that difficult, if you can get past taking the seat fabric off. Take your time and it's not that difficult. I have restored a few cars and I remember doing the seats for the first time, when I was done I thought that wasn't so bad. Also on this kit I like how the switches mount on the center dash. They are pressure sensitive switches with 3 levels of heat. I paid 267.00 online. http://www.mopar-accessories.com/en-...ubGroupId=3275
This link has the instructions in pdf form so you can see what is involved.

I had mine in for an oil change and priced out the kit.
It was $315 here in Canada. Not bad. I'm seriously thinking about it.
Better than the $1500 option for the seats with the little bit of leather in the centre.
I can do without the cooled seats and heated steering wheel.
The $1200 saving would buy a few good mods.
