Sorry to highjack but I do not have enough posts to PM.

OP don't get discouraged fight until they fix your issues.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind when I visit the dealership.
Rep points for that one!

Can you shed some light on your symptoms? I THINK my truck has a case of the "Star Report Blues", just need to be sure.
I experience a vibration in the steering. And, sometimes I feel a low "hum" when the MDS kicks in. Not always though. Feels like the truck drops into gear 10!!

I have the same problem with my T/C. I had mine switched out on Friday. I wanted to make sure they test drove it and they fixed the problem. They said they did. Well Saturday it started doing it again This is so frustrating. I am taking the truck back Thrusday to drop it off.

Default All dealers are the same

For what it is worth, I am convinced that all automotive dealers and manufactuers are the same..
From experience:
Have owned Mopar vehicles since the days of the REAL hemi...

In 2008 I decided to try a Chevy.. Full dress with everything including the infamous heated winsheild washer fluid system ($185 option - this is important). After 3 months I got a recall notice that the heated washer control board for the system could overload and set the truck on fire and to bring it in to have repaired. So I go in and instead of replacing the board with one that was redesigned , they install a fuse so in the event the board shorts out it would blow the fuse. 6 months later I got anothe recall notice that the fuse plan was not working and to bring it back. I took it back and they DISABLED the heated washer system and told me that GM would be sending me a check for the trouble. 2 months later I get a check for $50. Now they charged $185 for something that didn't work and then refunded $50 to cover the anguish to the customer. $135 proffit on a device they knew was not going to work.. After several back and forths to GM they eventually stopped responding..
In 2010 traded the Chevy for Toyota Tundra , again loaded. At the first scheduled oil change they changed the oil with regular oil instead of synthetic like it is clearly marked on the oil fill cap "SYNTHETIC OIL ONLY".. When I told the service manager about it he said, and you will love this one... " You have to tell us you want Synthetic " I said even though it is marked on the cap and you are a Toyota Dealership , Yep !!! The second oil change , I told them be sure to use synthetic like the cap says.. Oh, yes sir we got it... I got a call from the dealership after an hour and was told , " When we did the multi point inspection we found the cabin filter needed to be replaced " I said ok, how much is that ? They said $80 for the filter and $40 labor.. I flipped, I said put the old one back and i will change it myself.. I went to Autozone a bought a cabin filter for $10, went home and proceeded to change it. It involves openingthe glove box pushing a button and the filter slides out.. When i did this I noticed the compartment was full of dead leaves.. It was Fall.. So I called teh dealership and asked if the put the leaves back in when they re-installed teh cabin filter.. They knew nothing about the leaves and said " We just figured you need a new one".. So they were about to charge me $120 for a $10 filter which could be changed in 30 seconds.
So I went back to Dodge.. Got a new Ram Bighorn this past October..It had everything i needed except remote start.. I said i would buy the truck if they installed the remote start. They agreed, and said I would need to leave the truck and both fobs to be re-programmed.. That was October 29, 2011.. Got a call from them on the following Saturday that the truck was ready and come and get it. When I git there they had an outside company install and aftermarket remote start with two seperate FOBS to carry. i said you agreed to install the OEM since you said you needed to have both fobs to re-program. They said "Oh, the OEM will not work on this truck" BS BS BS !!!!! I called Dodge and verified the part number needed and returned to the dealer with that information and told them if i wanted something from Radio Shack i would have went there to start with. they agreed to order and install the OEM remote start. Which they finally did and i got my truck back November 30'th. Now I owned the truck and even made one payment before I could even drive it long enough to learn to use the radio..
Lesson Here: All of the Companies know that for every dissatisfied customer they have , there is another waiting in line from the other companies to take their place.....
And there are Peggy's at every customer service number for them....

LMAO!!!!! So true!!!! I think customer service is essentially lies in the toilet in this country, and Peggy is NOT answering the phone somewhere in our borders.

Hang in there, Hem. See what the next dealer tells you. I had the TC, and they (at my dealership) were more than happy to help. The SM said that is what they are there for. (I have been going there since '95 so I have a great relationship) But nevertheless, dealer's service departments are different. Hoping for the best for ya, Bro!

Yep, 11HEM1, that's exactly the spot I can replicate the noise. The rolled-up towel behind the seat does eliminate the noise.

Did the tech say if there was an actual "nut and bolt" fix for the seat noise? Just curious. To me, the towel works just fine and eliminates a trip to the dealer.
