Default 1996 dodge ram 1500 turns over, and rpm's go to 0 so it shuts off

I left my lights on the other day, jumped the truck, and after it started it the rpms would go to 0. I searched online, found out it was most likely the EGR vacuum valve so I bought that, but can't find out where it is on my truck.

Meantime I moved my idler up so when I turn it over it goes up to like 2,000-3,000 rpm's, and then down to 1,000. Also I am getting 6mpg now, and trying to fix this before work tomorrow so I don't waste another $50.00 to get to work and back.

Early '96 was the end of the Gen 2 with an EGR I believe. Back of the intake pass side.

The EGR valve I bought definately isn't on my truck. No intake manifold either.
I do have a part that looks similar to the EGR valve which is here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-DODGE-D...item48413b13b4

I took the part number off the part, and found it on ebay. Looks exactly like that.

My truck could be different cause it is a rare one made out of 2,800. Its the indy 500 pacer truck. When I had it inspected I paid an arm and a leg cause a dodge mechanic that worked for dodege for over 20 years who started before 1996 never even saw a dodge ram that looked like mine. Different rims that dodge made just for this model, and other stuff.
