Default Leaking transfer case?

Couple of weeks ago I blew my rear U-joint,and in turn took out the rear yoke and the rear cover to the transfer case(the piece the drive shaft slides in). After a couple of days driving it as a front wheel drive, finally got all the parts(like looking for needle in haystack)and got it back together.Couple of more days and I started smelling fluid, crawled under truck and its coming from transfer case. However cant pin point where because its just all over the place. If the garage overfilled it could this just be excess?Truck moves alright no noise no apparent problems just trying to figure out how to proceed.
Thanks for any help

The fluid level should be to the bottom of the fill hole . Approx 1.1 quarts . Hopefully the case isn't cracked somewhere . If it's slinging it out of the output shaft , it could be a bad seal or even a worn output shaft bushing .
