Just an FYI
Fuse 3 powers a line to the ignition switch, which connects back to another terminal in the ignition switch (Your guess is as good as mine why they did this ) then to the following fuses -
Fuse 35 (10A) - Anitlock Brake Controller
Fuse 36 (10A) - Vistronic Fan Drive
Fuse 37 (??A) - This is just a spare fuse
Fuse 38 (15A) - Transmission Range Sensor / Trans solenoid assy / Backup lamp SW
Fuse 52 (20A) - Airbag Control Module

Okay i pulled all of those fuses.. now shud i replace the #3 and turn the ignition on and see if it blows??

Also since you mentioned it's one of the power leads to the ignition switch.. I did notice a Pink/Yellow wire in the ignition harness showing ground all the way through the key cycle.. (off..accessory.. ignition.. and start positions)

Before you replace the fuse, check again to see if you still get the 'ground' reading on the non-battery side of the fuse.

Since we have disconnected all the secondary feeds, you should be able to test this with a smaller fuse if you have a bunch. There should be NO current draw, so if it blows a smaller fuse the problem is BEFORE the secondary fusing.

No point is wasting a bunch of 30A fuses if that can be avoided.

yes it's still showing ground.. ok cool that definitely helps!! since these fuses are 5 bucks a pop at autozone :/

From what I can see, it should look like at open circuit, so I'm thinking the problem is in the main wiring. I also noticed an error in the drawings. The circuit does NOT go through the ignition switch twice. Someone opps with the documentation and refers to a pin number that doesn't exist. LOL

Can you get to the wiring connector for the ignition switch. I believe it is on the steering column near the firewall. I would like to disconnect this connector and test the fuse for 'ground' again. I will try to find a pic while your trying to find the connector.

I do not a pic of it, but the description clearly states that it is 'inside' the steering column on the left side. Unless you are real comfortable with ripping apart your steering column, we will find a different test location.
