Default tailgate light bar (brake lights)

Looking for a good tailgate light bar for the truck. Problem is the truck cap blocks the third brake light. I have looked at the Rampage ones on Amazon but there are a lot of people saying that the two sided tape doesn't stick or the bulbs go out in two months.

What brands are you guys using?

I am using the Recon Mini, have had it for 5 years, no problems. Like it because the LED lights are bigger than the longer/thinner strip bars.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics of it on the truck would you?

I used to have the PlasmaGlow Fire and Ice tailgate bar that held up to everything imaginable. I bought the truck while stationed in Guam and with the Typhoons, driving through 2Ft of water and all the salty sea air did nothing to affect the tape from sticking to the truck. It actually took everything I had to remove it when I did last month. The only reason for taking it off was the trailer light connection cap spliced the wires. If you want to see how it looks check out my build. Its pretty damn bright.

I like the way those look, and glad to hear they last. I'll look into getting one, appreciate the post!

One more question, did you get the rigid or the flexible one?

I didnt know there was an option but it was a solid straight bar. It had just a little flex to it but it was attached to a plastic mount piece which gave you the option to either screw or tape it to the truck. Make sure to apply some silicone to the ends of it just for added waterproofing protection.

I don't have a pic of mine but I have it mounted on the step portion of the rear bumper where the licence plate fits.

Yea the waterproofing seems to be the biggest issue with these. Thanks for everything!

Ah okay, I looked it up and it is a little small for what I need. Drivers in my area can't pay attention to something that small unfortunately lol Thanks for the suggestion though!
