Default Lowered Mega Cab?

i recently purchased a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab. i was surprised on how high it sat for being a 1500, and the fact it has 8 lug wheels. i was told that dodge put the maga cab on a 2500 chassis. if this is true, how are they able to call it a 1500, and i'm not much of an off roader, but need 4 wheel drive in the winter to get to work. is there a kit out there that could lower my truck, and still keep the 4x4? maybe something similar to an AWD Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 stance and set up. i'd also like to change the tires and wheels on it if i could get the stance down.

I have a 2007 MegaCab and, yes, it is on the 2500 frame and suspension. They de-rated the rear springs for the 1/2T designation.

I have not seen a lowering kit for the MegaCab but a good suspension shop might have some ideas. Not sure how many there are in Muscatine but it might be worth pursuing.

I went up 4" with mine despite the wife complaining about needing a ladder to get into it.
