If you do a lot of in town driving and make a lot of turns with the locking differential in the rear you will go through tires pretty quick. You can hear them slipping even when you are taking corners slow. Tis the price to pay for the extra traction. Plus the tires are crap as previously stated.

Have you tried switching out the Hemi for an Ecoboost?

Remove the traction control switch and just connect the wires together so you can't turn TC off.

easiest solution, jack up the truck so the tires don't touch the ground

Got 45000 Km on the truck drove from Newfoundland to Florida on to Vegas then to LA up to Vancouver over to Calgary then to Toronto back to Newfoundland. It was quite the trip the truck ran great. lots of tread left on tires and they have been rotated every oil change 4 times so far. The truck really sucks when it comes to oil changes. Got Avalanche snow tires on now and it is hard not to spin the tires when it is raining. With the goodyears / once in a light rain I kicked the truck down showing off to another Ram the truck stopped dead in the road tires spinning madly note I was doing around 60 km at the time. I have add K&N cold air and custom build dual exhaust to replace the single pipe and the truck is like a rocket now with no lag when you kick it down. The next stage is headers when the price comes down in price and I hope as the truck gets older there will be more choices than the American Racing headers. The thing about our trucks are they are fast and fun to drive as quoted above drive like it is stolen or go get a 4 cyc ranger. lol

I skimmed through the posts, but just want to mention tire pressure can go a long way. Make sure your in a good operating range. My 2010 Ram R/T still has the stock tires on after 40,000km and I'm not planning on changing them until after this winter.

Thanks for the laughs everyone! Yes it was posted with a little sarcasm and wearing down the tires quicker is a good way to look for a new wheels and tire combo.
