Default Ready For winter

shes all ready to go, just had a rust check undercoating done, had my cooper zeons ltz's put on (no way the goodyears were stayin) , packed in the emergency kit, couple sandbags in the box and a fresh coat of wax and some cooking spray inside the rims (lol it works) had first dump of snow last week and had no issues the coopers seem to do pretty good for an a/t tire, currently sittin in a nice coating of salt.there will be plenty of that around here.

Great job there, winter is tough and you need to plan for it. Mine's already been Krown prepped for Winter and waxed however it still hurts to see that salt coating, especially on a black truck. We've been lucky so far no snow.

One of the perks of living down south...no salt! However they do put sand on all of the bridges and the drivers down here are TERRIBLE when it rains, much less when there is ice!

Already gout our first cold snap down to -25, fired up like a dream in the mornings. Thankfully its nice for the next few days up here. No salt used in Alberta so no worries on that part of it

Not much snow/sand/salt here, but we do pay a price for that. We can usually expect at least a couple of major hailstorms each spring during tornado season. Baseball sized hail can total a truck!

i was told by an old guy one time to spray pam on the inside of the aluminum rims to keep the ice from stickin and throwin em off balance, did it on my last truck and it worked pretty good ...im sure green rust check or silicone spray would do the same. come to think of it i have some green rust check layin around, may go for that instead and see how it works.

This is how I prep my 2011 Sport for winter. It is sitting at the back of the carport. Ramcharger goes in tomorrow for some last minute maintenance items then it get's parked in front. Winter prep done
