Angry Super anoying whistle! Help!

Ok this is starting to anoy me! My truck is whistleing at 1500 rpm and above. It dosnt seem to affect performance at all. I thought power steering but its not (dosnt scream under load) and I have learned how sensitive to vacuum leaks the magnum's are. So im thinking intake? What would cause this? Help! I need what little mind I have left!

Like my Daddy would say...You can't lose something you never had...

Get her up to whistling idle/speed and either hose down the intake or use a good squirt gun (high volume) with some warm soapy water and start spraying the edges or where you suspect the tune is coming from. Pay attention to the base of the throttle body and the IAC ("o" ring).

Can you hear these voices in my head too?!

Ok ill look into it when I get back to shop. But hear's the thing wouldn't that kill performance? Not downing the idea. (you probebly have forgot more about these truck's then I know) but ill hope for tb gasket. Start mods early so I dont have to listen to the female voice in my head aka WIFE.

I didn't use soapy water but WD-40. If the engine revs up, you've found your leak. Just be careful with it since WD-40 and rubber don't get along lol but was an old trick my father in law told me about when I was looking for a leak on another vehicle.

Same concept but the water evaporates and is self cleaning, and it keeps people from grabbing something that may be flammable or damaging. It's likely they'll pass it on or show by example; And, make the world a greener happier place to plug your car (I wasn't implying that you personally have a plug in car Cajun so don't take offence to that) in......so I can drive my truck.

Good point Warlock III and safety should always be a concern when working on any vehicle. It's like I always say, you have to be smarter than what you're working with lol.

Well kids sorry to report checked out whistle, throttle tight no leaks and clean at least. Also while on subject whoever came up with that air box should be shot in the azz with rock salt! But the truck got its first pice of knuckle meat and blood from me (its mine now!)

Well you could'a used the knuckle meat to seal the leak!

Tisk tisk...so wasteful.
.
Start going over the vacuum lines and check the check valves. Which brings to mind the check valve on the brake booster too.

I'll be honest with Ya warlock it doesn't seem to hurt truck performance. just annoys me. and if anybody asks screw it it supercharged! but since I know throttle bodies good its low on my priority list for now. or at least until I can't bark the tires and grab a second year
