Default Where can I get new or rebuilt seatbelts?

I no longer have any faith in my front shoulder belts. Both were no longer retracting. I took the driver's side apart and got it to where it retracts pretty well, but it doesn't seem to lock like it should. Not sure the passenger is either. I can get some junk yard belts, but that's a crap shoot. I've seen rebuild services, but most aren't for belts that old. Anyone know of an option?

I never had a problem with the belt retracting, just the buckle going bad. Not sure if it's possible just to buy the retracting mechanism and keep the belt you have. Gonna have to do some research on that one. I know the replacement buckles are a dime a dozen but I wonder if Moparpartsonline wouldn't have something like that.

Junk Yard belts can be a crap shoot. Try Car-Part.com and look for some that are still in the vehicle and make sure they work correctly/color/etc...

Not everyone wears them and there's probably a state or two that don't require them to be worn. So a used set may be as good as new if you do some checking.

Thanks for the links. Looks like the OE belts are about $300 for both. Checking with a couple of junkyards as well.

Default Seat Belts

One of the only things you can do to help your seat belts retract is to wash them. Try it, it works. Best is to remove them first. You need to use hot soapy water.
