Default Diablosport and factory flash?

Hope someone can help. I just bought a 06 Ram 5.7. I picked up a Diablosport tuner and am ready to go. Problem is, I do not know if this truck has a factory flash or if it was previously tuned. The truck already has a intake and an exhaust on it so it is a possibility although the smooth shifts and lack luster performance currently makes me think it doesn't.

When I called the dealer tonight to ask about verifying the flash, they acted as if they had no idea what I was talking about. What do I say or ask the dealer so I can verify a factory flash before I use the DS?

Thanks for any help!!

Do I just have them flash it to the most recent factory version to write over whatever it might be currently?

Is it possible to ask the previous owner what tuner he had on it? If not, when you plug the tuner in, what does it read on the screen? It could work just fine, or it could give you an error message which wont harm anything, you will most likely have to update the PC and/or the tuner.

I already tried to contact the former owner through the dealer, no luck though. The instructions say that you need to verify that the factory tune is intact or damage could be done. If it does have a aftermarket tune, can a Dodge dealer overwrite it with a factory tune?

Just plug in the DSP and see what it says. It will first read the PCM, then it will either display the start menu or if it already has a tune you'll get a message saying it can't access the vehicle.
